Roger Wessman has been the chief economist for Nordea Finland since February 2012 and has a long and broad-based experience in economic and financial markets research. He began his career in 1993, following the Finnish fixed income market and later became an equity strategist and then head of equity research.
Before being appointed chief economist, Roger has he worked with Nordea Markets since 2002 as research director with a particular focus on FX and fixed income research as well as asset allocation.
As chief economist he is responsible for providing up-to-date information and views on the global and Finnish economies, both within the bank and for customers. He heads the economic research team in Helsinki and works in close co-operation with research teams in other Nordic countries.
